They start searching for a cure and pursue various treatments but, unfortunately experience little to no results. Their desperation to help their son leads them to toxic positivity and quackery. Marta becomes completely dedicated to caring for Henrique, while Rog\u00e9rio falls into depression due to his difficulty to accept the situation. The strain on their relationship becomes evident as they withdraw from all social life and struggle with dysfunctional family connections.
